Lifewide Magazine Launched
Today we published the first issue of Lifewide Magazine. Ourintention is to publish four issues a year and we want to include items and articlesthat are relevant to the interests of our diverse community.
Our first issue is bursting with interesting articles. Wemeet our team of volunteers, and have contributions on the theme of lifewidelearning from Russ Law, Andra Ilie and Yalda Tomlinson. From the blogosphere wehave a provocative article by one oftoday’s most influential management thinkers, Umair Haque, on 'Mastering the Art of Living MeaningfullyWell'. Rob Ward, Director of the Centre for Recording Achievement, shares his views on what it takes to create andsupport a community of practice whilst VickyMann, from the University of Nottingham, reports on a recent conference whichdebated the state of play with Universityextra-curricular skills awards. We aredelighted to kick off our series of Reflections on Life interviews withProfessor Ron Barnett, who is one of the world's leading thinkers, writers andcommentators on Higher Education. Last, but not least, Patrick Sanders ourcommunity artist provides us with some lively and entertaining cartoons.
