It is said that a picture is worth a thousand words because a picture can more quickly and easily communicate all sorts of complex contextual, relational, symbolic, emotional and metaphorical knowledge. People user imagery when they try to make sense of complex situations or they try to represent something that they find difficult to put into words. Visual literacy is something we need to develop and share and we will use these pages to explore the use of imagery in communicating the richness of life experience and personal understandings.
